Bally EM Machines

As Seen on Facebook Marketplace

April 23, 2003:

Update on the Bally Electro-Mechanical slot machines I posted about a week ago:

This supplement is for the Facebook Marketplace listing found at https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/203845902395050

We found more machines in storage, there were 42 total. I have sold most of the ones that were missing parts to someone that wanted only empty cabinets. So I actually seem to have a surplus of glass, chrome, hoppers and reel mechs now.

I took a couple machines and cleaned them with some random cleaning solvent to show what they look like without the dust and grime on them. Please see attached photos of the inside of the machines too, they are all about the same condition and the doors were closed during storage so the internal condition is pretty good.

Of the remaining units most seem to be model 809 which I believe is a five-coin one-line machine. I have about fifteen of them which I believe are parts complete. I don't have keys for some of them so I've never even opened them, but we can drill locks if necessary. Others are buried in the pile and were hard to get at to count or take photos, so I welcome any buyer to inspect these machines in person.

I will sell any parts-complete 809 for $150 as long as you take at least ten of them. I need to get them out of this building quickly so I'm selling them for much less than just the value of the parts, these should make excellent restoration candidates. As you inspect each you are welcome to pick the machines you like the best. If you buy all my parts-complete machines I will throw in all the spare glass and parts I have. I even have extra empty cabinets, doors and hoppers.

After the 809's I seem to have at least three variations:

These last three machines seem to be very sought-after as I have had tons of requests to ship these machines but I would rather not. I do not have the skill or time to test or repair them, so I will sell any of these machines parts-complete for $350 each, or all three for $900. If you are good at servicing these machines you can end up with three very beautiful and highly collectible slots!

All machines are located in Chicago near the United Center (Bulls/Blackhawks stadium) and you are welcome to inspect anything before committing to the sale. Prices are absolutely non-negotiable and any sale will be cash-and-carry as-is, where-is.

In case anyone knew Frank Zygmunt, he is who I got these machines from many years ago. I paid quite a bit more for them back when I was young and dumb and thought I could take on restoring these machines as a hobby.

If you are interested in buying these machines please text me at (708) two six seven 2100 - I don't use Facebook much and dealing with it is a mess in itself.
